...if I'm perfectly truthful... none of the current races really appeal to me much. I'm tentatively interested in the Ry'nari... it will really depend on how 'tech' they are vs tribal they end up being-- but if that doesn't work out--

    Human for me...
If you could create a race, what would you conjure up?

Hmm. Kind of hard to say, can be a bit of a 'know it when I see it' kind of thing. There's a kind of silly charm to techy dinos, which is why Ry'nari are a maybe depending. In other IRE games (well, I've only really played one), the Lucidians and Trill really appealed to me. If there was a robotic species, I would probably be all over that...

A couple of my personal race suggestions were for a Vulcan-like race and a race obsessed with having a good time regardless of the consequences (those should be two separate races), and I still stick by those suggestions. I personally tend to go for fairly neutral characters that can wander around, peacefully working with a wide variety of people for their own ends, regardless of which side of a war they might be on.

I'm going with the W'hoorn. I intend to play him as a sort of interstellar big game hunter, having little to no interest in war, politics, or any conflict with sentient species. I've always been partial to bashing over pvp just because it's so much easier. As a long-time (On and off again) player of Achaea, I have to say that honestly... Combat was a migraine inducing nightmare. Let us not even speak of the dark age before SVO. Unless Starmourn has VASTLY simplified pvp, I'll want no part of it... But a W'hoorn bashing specialist? All the yes. Plus, they have soooo much room for customization what with fur -and- wings.

I think Humans are actually my favourite race in Starmourn lore so far, scrappy survivors and rogues all around? Love it. I don't think I'll actually PLAY as a human, but I would really love to advance the human story line and discover more details on humanity's lost homeworld.
Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
    Through passion, I gain strength.
    Through strength, I gain power.
    Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall set me free.

    ----
Almost dead yesterday, maybe dead tomorrow, but alive, gloriously alive, today.
    ----
    I must not fear.
    Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
    I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

They actually said they're using American spelling because American English is the FUTURE and the OUTDATED NATURE of Fantasy games is what demanded silliness like 'colour'.

We only have the color of space, here, now.
Starmourn moves too fast to be burdened with that superfluous 'u'! I should also note that we've elected to get rid of violet from the color spectrum for the same reason. Ain't nobody got time for that!
    You added plaid, though, right?

I find the Jin really interesting. Partly because of the awesome death-sensing eye and partly because they look a bit like Protoss zealots from Starcraft.

(p.s. I noticed a few typos on the Nusriza article: "In this state, their bodies intensely crave the meat of the algerion - huge, non-sentient creatuves that create gas balloons out of giant air sacs in their bodies." and "Most of these Nusriza, unless they're being taken care of and their sexual needs provided for, starve to death or are killed after seeking seek with the unwilling.")
    Fixed, thanks!

I really am not trying to be a jerk here, but I've been reading through the wiki and there are a lot of grammatical/spelling errors. Is it like any other wiki where I can log in and make edits? Or do you guys have it more locked down that that because, well, IP and all?
I'd love to help out. Was an editor for several years, journalism degree, etc. I'm qualified and I'm offering my services on a volunteer basis.
Again, sorry if this seems rude, just wanting to help.

I just meant that, as a secondary resource, there's a thread to help with wiki fixes, not that you should fix what you see in the thread.
