I reaaaaaally like the Shen. I get sort of an aloof vibe from them, being one of the oldest younger races. Totally going to make a Shen when the game launches (Shen Nanoseer best)
I'd like to preface this saying that I actually really dig most of the races Starmoun has on offer, they're all pretty neat and have a unique feel to them.
Aesthetically speaking (that art, though), it's a tossup between the Nusriza and the Ry'nari. The latter because I'm a sucker for dinosaurs and reptilian races, and the former because they just look interesting. Really solid job on a different approach to an avian race. I'm actually not really sure which race's culture and general vibe I like the most, as they all have various points that appeal to me. I think getting a bit more exposure to them either in-game or via fluff posts will help me pick!
Though I'm liable to be a human (probably, potentially), I actually really like the Krona. They're loud, they're colorful, and they're buttheads basically. I approve of this.
I am most excited about the Tukkav. I think the idea of hardy, animistic, space nomads from an artic planet sounds cool. And you can't forget the toof circles!
I think most of the races are pretty neat! But after a long and bloody debate, the winner clearly has to be the Ry'nari. A rifle-toting cybernetically-enhanced Ry'nari is basically the violent lovechild of Rambo and the Terminator with a dash of Jurassic Park that has the artistic talents of Igor Mitoraj and Simon Gudgeon.
(p.s. I noticed a few typos on the Nusriza article: "In this state, their bodies intensely crave the meat of the algerion - huge, non-sentient creatuves that create gas balloons out of giant air sacs in their bodies." and "Most of these Nusriza, unless they're being taken care of and their sexual needs provided for, starve to death or are killed after seeking seek with the unwilling.")
Tukkav is my current favorite. They remind me a bit of wookies; I'm also really hairy; I love cold and snow, and they just seem super chill. They are all looking pretty neat though. Originally I thought Nath-el would be my favorite, but that was when I thought they were Rhino people and not insects... not as much of a fan of being part of a hive mind! So passing on that race for now!

The jury is still out on this for me.. there are too many awesome choices. I'm going to have to take some time to fast and pray about which race I'm going to play since I'm not an altoholic..
I'm leaning heavily to the Jin since they seem the most Drow-like.. History, battles, death, etc.
I've been stuck between the Nusriza and W'hoorn, but with the details on language and rituals the Nusriza are probably my favorite. At least until I change my mind again.
I'm super fond of Elgan. Love how they love tech and look out for the weak. Their empathy and sense of duty seems really appealing in a genre full of "badasses"

Let's hope people RP them that way!
All we can really do is give people a detailed setting and hope it's enough for them to want to hang their RP hats on.
Rp is my entire reason for playing in MUDs, to be honest with you, so I'm super excited to see how it turns out in Starmourn. It'd be nice to see a little more racial roleplay going on, and seeing the various cultures of the races in action via NPCs.

If I was to ask a question it'd be: How strong/prehensile are those tails?

PS - Very glad the forums have opened up
