Squeaky Clean Sensors

I'm fiddling around mirror lake and there's a low level quest here about cleaning moldy water sensors. I've tried every command I can think of relating to the hint saying that I need to SCRUB it.
> scrub the sensor
> scrub the water sensor
> scrub the moldy water sensor
> clean the " x3
> try to clean " x3
> try to scrub " x3
> clean with flamethrower
you get the idea.
On half the commands the result is "You have entered an invalid command." or "You see nothing like that here."

    Er.. have you just tried "scrub sensor"?  Or "wipe sensor"?

    "Facepalm" that did it. scrub sensor is the winner.
