Love it. Happy new year btw, coming from your future.

I'm now second guessing my ship name of 'Roebuck' though. Oops?

    Animated porn.

Earth's great legacy is hentai. That's all we have to show for ourselves, folks.

I wonder how a Decheeran would interpret tentacle porn?

I love the list, but you guys are forgetting the two movies that would have been brought into space (at least I would have). I am sure they would survive the end of "earth". I know they are not sci-fi, but come on. I am sure ya'll know which two movies or tv shows I am talking about so I won't bother mentioning them. "they are technically both space movies"

I admit to not knowing what Rkansas is talking about. Also, it says stills and animated porn shots, implying they're .gifs (or movie clips) and pictures, not specifically hentai.

    Star Wars and/or Star Trek

Something is bound to have survived. It must, I don't think I could imagine a space future without them.

Just to spite you, @Rkansas, they're gonna say that Galaxy Quest survived but not those two.

Actually, I like Galaxy Quest too, but not near as much as the other two lol.

Both overrated within the sci-fi genre.

I can’t  imagine gifs were still around in 2274. I was referencing movie clips.

Yep, changed my mind, though regardless, none of that media would tell you anything about MacBeth or Gordon Ramsey specifically.

Kestrel's right, but I guess I should still change my sig.

Seems odd that none of the media survived with the 'this is fiction, folks!' disclaimer that is at the end or beginning of pretty much every work of fiction ever. Suspension of disbelief is a thing, I guess.

No one speaks Earthian. Even if there was a "This is fiction" disclaimer it may as well be written in Cuniform for all our ability to read it matters. I'm just surprised there's no Disney on there. Or for irony's sake, an actual documentary on the Trans-Continental Railroad that everyone is convinced is the only surviving piece of fiction, because what race would be mad enough to have willingly created a form of transit that relied on the destruction of natural resources, wide-scale pollution, and primitive welding and riveting techniques to keep water boiling long enough to build up the pressures required to move that much mass, and still manage to make it off their home planet before they destroyed themselves?

Disney movies were not really what the inmates on Callisto were into.

Not surprising, but still feels like a warden would keep a copy of something like it around to use on movie night when he wanted to be a jerk. Something like Parent Trap or one of the recent B-tier live action remakes.

Callisto was a penal colony on a shithole on a place remote from any civilization or oversight. If the warden wanted to be a jerk, he could just throw one of them out of the airlock, although that would mean one less person to do the work of the colony, and a slight bit less money the warden could skim. Think the worst prison on Earth, but worse due to an even harsher environment. There was no movie night. The media that came with them was on the person of one or two of the prisoners in the form of contraband when they were captured.
